Since 1950 Salpointe has been an important part of the community and the lives of tens of thousands of students, parents and alumni. Salpointe teaches a faith based education with emphasis on the whole student experience from arts and athletics to college preparatory basic core curriculum.
Caballeros Del Sol
The Cabs originated at the Tucson Sunshine Climate Club founded in the 1920′s. The Cab later joined the Tucson Chamber of Commerce then branched back out on their own. The mission of the organization is to foster relationships with other business people around the region with the aim of promoting Tucson.
City of Tucson – Small Business Commission
As a member and past Chair of the Small Business commission Joe’s goal was to communicate and organize the small business voice in the City of Tucson.
City of Tucson – Environmental Services Advisory Committee
ESAC is a Tucson Council appointed commission that reviews, analyzes and recommends policies effecting the City of Tucson solid waste department

Past Board Member – Executive Committee – Past President of CCS Foundation.As a board member and part of the volunteer leadership we’ve created annual fundrasing events, created a prominent community leaders and increased awareness of Catholic Community Services and their affiliated agencies such as Pio Decimo Children’s Services, St. Elizabeth’s Clinic, St. Nicholas Adoption Services, foster care programs, elderly service and many more.

As a five year member of the Citizen Sign Code Committee Joe took on and rewrote the ordinance pertaining to A frame signs. The contentious issue was passed 7-0 by Mayor and Council.
